“Krucza” Vineyard has existed since 2001 and is the outcome of several years of seeking old varieties of vines among the former vineyards of Zielona Góra and surrounding areas. It is located ten kilometres from “Wine Castle” (Winny Gród) in Buchałów, a small village proud of its wine traditions.
The vineyard is located in a charming corner, mid-forest enclave in the midst of hills, away from civilization on an area of approximately 4 hectares. Jerzy Hadzicki lists the following cultivated varieties: pinot noir, pinot blanc, Seyval Blanc, Léon Millot, Granacha and Oporto. There are even vines in the testing and experimentation phases of the following maternal shrubs: sauvignon blanc, Riesling, Traminer, Pearl of Csaba, Madeleine Angevine, aurora, Zweigelt, Pinot meunier, crisp pink and gold, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Roter queen vineyards. What is more, eight varieties are still unrecognised.
